Ahh, summer, la mer, Sirtaki - dancing with a long, long row of French youth in St. Tropez -- long ago, but I still know how to do it, and how to enjoy it, though I prefer les Anglais maintenant. White Linen at the beach: great.
I am beginning to think that your drunken comments on my blog are putting other people off making their own, Rachel. I have enough of a problem stopping myself from making drunken comments on my own blog, so I don't have enough time to take care of yours.
I asked everyone a few years ago to disable the 'owner moderation' facility on their blogs, as I did on mine, and most of them did.
I almost blocked you last night because I am fed up with your humourless comments when you are pissed, and I don't want to turn on the comment moderation thing just because of one drunken woman who cannot control herself.
I really don't mind being insulted, just so long as it is funny, but I've spent enough time on you now, so either be funny, be polite or get blocked.

ReplyDeleteIt's your towels on the beach which upset me.
DeleteOwn up to it: it's not the towels, it's those who sit on them around me.
DeleteNo, it's the empty towels on the beach at 7.00 in the morning. I remember well.
DeleteNever ever mine. Never. You think in clichés!
DeleteIt is my duty as a Brit, whether on holiday or not.
DeleteI have never seen that movie - yeah, I am a bad (1/2) Greek.
ReplyDeleteWhich half?
Deleteerm...
DeleteThat's not a git in a white suit ….. it's the lovely Alan Bates …. I wouldn't have minded a dance with him. XXXX
ReplyDeleteThat's not just Alan Bates, that's an actor representing Nikos Kazantzakis (or however you spell it) representing us tight-arsed sophisticates.
DeleteI've read the book several times, but never seen the film.
ReplyDeleteIt's the reverse for me - no, actually, I did read the book once, when I was at Farnham, I think.
DeleteJust what I needed at 7 '0 clock this morning with a hangover Zorba the fucking Greek and an image of you dancing across a fucking beach.

Well that's rich coming from you.
