Turning ploughshares into scrap metal

Mikail Kalashnikov (RIP) has recently been quoted as writing to a Russian Orthodox priest, expressing his remorse at having invented a weapon which has claimed the lives of more people than any other in history.

He said that he would have liked to invent something more useful instead, like - for instance - a lawn mower.

Here is an ordinary lawnmower receiving some attention from the entire magazine of an AK 47 set to fully automatic, filmed quite a few years before Comrade Kalashnikov's death:

    1. I have always wanted to go on the Antiques Road Show with an old and valuable door-stop, then tell them I have been using it as a door-stop for the last 20 years.

  2. If there was a question of efficiency; I'd vote for the AK47.
