I'm not sure why, but I found that completely hilarious. I watched the Muppet show when it was on TV and I love those 2 old guys. Thank you for the laugh.
Hello! It's me, Sarah! Did you mention the good County Kent? Seriously though, these two blokes came to mind when I fronted a pair of magistrates in court recently (for some friends obviously, more about that later). I had to hold my face to stop from giggling at them.
When ever I see this clip it always ends up with both characters reminding me of folk I know. The trouble is that as we get older we sag in all the wrong places, including our faces.
I know what you mean, Weave. I am told that me and another bloke look just like them when we sit chatting on the end of the bar. The conversation is pretty much the same as well.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why I did too either, Kelly, but it never fails to make me laugh as well.
DeleteSomewhere I have a floppy 45 of this, that was given away free with Private Eye. Very funny.
ReplyDeleteThere was a whole L.P. of it - wall to wall filth and depravity.

I completely forgot that the mere mention of King Cnut would make you prick up your ears, Sarah! Did your magistrates use the same sort of language?
Deleteof course not. They were in full, original muppet mode.
