One of my gun-toting friends asked me to sign this today, and I did. To all you visitors to Great Britain, let's hope our government does not get their way in trying to sell off the green silver for which the place is known purely in order to put a few more pounds into the bankers black holes, otherwise the reasons for visiting may become fewer and fewer.
I don't know about the credentials of the above organisation, but they have the right idea.
Sorry (again) about her awful laugh at the end. I've tried to forgive her for that over the last 40 years, but I have been experiencing a few difficulties.

ReplyDeleteWe fight this all the time. The only thing that has put a crimp in their redevelopment plans is the economy. I have found that even though you can stop them for awhile, another snake comes will out of the ground a few years later.
ReplyDeleteDon't call me a Brit, please. I'm English and like many others altered my 2001 census form to affirm and protest. Was not arrested, and the 2011 form was suitably amended.
ReplyDeleteHope the Power of the People also works for this campaign and will sign up too. Not holding out much hope re the Scots. Being married to one who is so cussed and English hating that he'd quite happily vote for levelling concrete all over everything south of the border. (Other than that he's quite nice really.)
I'm English too, Elegance, but I wanted to be non-specific about eligibility for as many people to sign up as possible.
