I have used one of these semi-auto, 12 shot, 12 bores before, and they are... FUN! The one I used was a Turkish, black plastic monstrosity, and I hit 10 out of 10 clays with it in quick succession - but not as quick as this guy.
The trouble is that you have to have a firearms certificate to own one in this country (as opposed to a shotgun certificate) if it is more than a 3-shot gun. You also have to convince the police that you have a good reason for needing one. Having 'fun' is not good enough!
Funnily enough, Chris, if you go to You Tube and type in: 'AK-47 versus Lawn-Mower', you will find an impressive clip of someone emptying a full AK-47 into a Fly-Mo with dramatic results.
I think my machine pistol of choice would be an Uzi - about 240 rounds per minute has GOT to be fun. I had an Israeli girlfriend once, and she told me that it was the most fun part of her military training.
P.S. - There is a British trick-shooter called John Bidwell. He fires off more cartridges in a day of practice than most people would in one lifetime. It's all down to sponsorship, of course - even though a single cartridge only costs about 12p, it soon mounts up if you've got a gun like that!
yeah very impressive but, the clue to this demmo is in the title page - EXHIBITION SHOOTER ? - now then, take away his trick extrema 2,[i.e. his extensively modified breach, weight balanced butt and fore end, modified barrel tapers and chokes, etc, etc,]then take away his special loaded ammo, and then his special formulated compound clays, put him on a stand with normal side winds etc, make him keep on his stand[not walking as he shoots]. then, for comparison, give him a competition shot gun you or I could buy over the counter with say standard no9 skeet load ammo, as he is taking shots no more than fifty feet away and some how I think his competence might drop to something near normal me thinks. Hmm, glad I got that off my chest LOL!
Does he come from TEXAS? Frightening!
ReplyDeleteSounded like Georgia to me. Texans have a distinctive drawl.
ReplyDelete....and the gun would probably have been BIGGER.
ReplyDeletenow I 've GOT to get me one of these!
ReplyDeleteno more crow problems EVER!!!

ReplyDeleteYou have too much time on your hands Tom.
It was sent on to me buy a genuine gun-nutter, Chris. I know (and regularly meet) many genuine gun nutters.
