Read today that this is the largest the moon has appeared for 18 years. Don't know why it is, or why it might be significant...but it sure was lovely to look at.
Everyone was going mad in the streets last night. The moon definitely DOES affect people's behaviour. Gurdjieff (if that's how you spell it) said - "The first thing you have to do it get out of the influence of the moon". I think he had a point. That photo was thanks to my 30x Olympus and taken on the street overlooking the river, about 200 feet from our pad, in case you hadn't guessed. Amazing camera.
I've heard that this is the closest to the earth for another 10 years, so run out and have a look! (if you're old)
ReplyDeleteJust had a look. Doesn't seem any different to me. Still can't see any clangers.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for it to get dark so I can run out and see it for myself. I AM old.

ReplyDeletewe'll be out there in a hour.....nice photo.

ReplyDeleteIt's 5.45am, and the moon is still unbelievably bright; a great white shiny orb! Imagine; they might even get men up there one day.

ReplyDeleteIt was gorgeous here....came in the windows like I had left a light on outside!
