Tonight's full moon

I just leant out of the window and took this picture of tonight's full moon over Bath - I love my new camera (and my iMac). No howling!

  4. My first instinct was to howl! I can see the sepia. It's not even dark here yet, but I will step out later and look. How fascinating that we all can look at the same moon! Ann

  5. I expect you know what c*%T means though Moll - they have streets in Shrewsbury named after it. If not, then ask John.

  6. At any given time, Ann, there are about 3000 Japanese and other assorted people with telescopes trained on the entire heavens, trying be the first to spot a new comet, so that it can be named after them.

  8. Ah - a fowl accusation, John. I've just added Grace Jones to the post, just to spice it up a bit.

  10. Thanks, Olive. I wish Grace could be mine tonight too... or do I? She's a mad cow, that's for sure, but what a body....

  11. I thought this was a "G" rated blog! I had to shoo the dogs away with GJ's video.

    Love Grace! An original.

What camera did you buy? Nice shot.

  14. Believe it or not, I almost booked Grace Jones before she hit the big time, Grouch. I was watching a crappy day time TV show called 'Holiday Town Parade', which was always set in a British sea-side resort in the summer, and she was one of the acts. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Unfortunately, a real show-biz person must have been watching too, and found her agent quicker than I did.

I bought my camera, reconditioned by Olympus, from the USA. I haven't seen them for sale here in Britain. It's an SP-800UZ with 14 MPs and a 30 x zoom! That picture of the moon was hand-held - it has 2 image stabalizers as well. It goes from super-macro to 30x, plus about 3 hours of HD video. What a little machine!
