I hate Talk Talk

That's all I need to say right now. Soon I will be rid of them... I hope...

  1. Good luck.
We all hate our Internet providers. Here, Comcast has a monopoly in many of the regions it serves, so we are stuck with them.

  2. Talk Talk have the reputation of being the worst in the UK, Shawn. I have never had any trouble with BT but no doubt there will be many who say they have.

    1. Then you guys are better off than we are. The last time the US had good telecom service was when we all used AT&T land lines.

    2. I paid $700 to AT&T when working for three weeks in Florida some years ago, but that was a hotel phone.

  3. And I have never had any trouble with TalkTalk. Just lucky I guess as I've been with them since they first started...

    1. I don't either. I thought that it was about pointless small talk.

    2. T.T. sold their email system to AOL, who stink if you live outside of A.

  6. OMG - I too will be out of Talk Talk's venous clutches in about 14 days. I finally snapped a couple of days ago. They took over my perfectly good simple provider three or so years ago and it's been downhill ever since. I'm happily paying the break charge just to get them off my back. Feels like a load has been lifted from my shoulders.

    1. We must compare notes. I have now created my own domain with my own hosting service, so fucked-up have I been by TT.

  7. Too tired to make any other responses tonight - thanks for yours though. I will set up my new account tomorrow... I hope... I am missing some extremely important emails from clients right now. OMG, I hate TT so much...

    1. There were 2 or 3 minor dramas, but nothing serious.

  9. I use Orange, which (as you will remember) the EU forced Vodaphone sell to France when they thought it was getting too big. I was furious at the time (with the EU), and swore never to have anything to do with them, but in fact they provide a very reliable service.

    1. We refused to change our 'wannado' to 'orange' and still fork out quite a lot for broadband, landline and a rarely used mobile. There are so many offers about that it's far too confusing to think about changeing. As long as it goes it's Better the Devil.....

    2. Talk Talk use AOL - and changed their email to AOL (America Online) within a week of me signing up. It is administered by helpful but useless Indian people. I do not like AOL....

  10. I think we all miss the talk-talk from you; hope your conversion goes well. My daughter went the private domain route, four or five years ago. No problems I know of.

    1. Yes - it's easy and almost free to have a private domain, even if you share it.
