Last night I dreamt that Rachel came to visit me.
We spent the whole time laughing and I thought what an entertaining person she was.
I had such nice dreams last night.
Today, Putin says he will withdraw all troops from Syria in a week or so, and stop all bombing.
Wouldn't it be good if all these good dreams became reality, and all diplomatic discussions had such positive outcomes?
It would be lovely but, sadly, wouldn't last; we humans are far too addicted to the adrenalin rush of mayhem.
ReplyDeleteAnd old men get their wars fought for them.
DeletePutin withdraws at the point when Erdogan invades. Putin wants to avoid fighting Turkey. Ditto. In the dream we were going to end up knocking the hell out of each other so i woke up before the end. From a hotel room in Barcelona. (You'd think I'd have better things to do wouldn't you?).
ReplyDeleteSomeone said today that Putin thinks that his job is done, inasmuch as he has stabilised whatever regime suits his purpose and does not want a repeat of Afghanistan for 10 years.
DeleteI wouldn't knock the hell out of you, but you may with me, I don't know. Get out and see some Gaudi.
Trump forwards, with sword in air. I'm sure he has some puerile solution to ALL the world's problems.
ReplyDeleteAs in, 'defend by attacking'.
DeleteTrump's solutions are not puerile, they are demagogic. Today we vote in Ohio, and I may have to change parties to try to keep him from all the delegates, and throw the nominating convention open to the floor. It's a long shot.
DeleteGood luck - for all our sakes.
DeleteI did it. We'll see if principle trumps.
DeleteTrump with Boris help of course, Cro.
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to worry about Boris.
DeleteSo is his father.
DeleteAgree, although sometimes I have beautiful dreams and I wouldn't like those to end. The really good ones often stay with me all day.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know what you mean Weave. People sometimes wonder why I am being so nice to them - they obviously didn't share the dream.
DeleteI dreamt that I told our neighbor what sh*theads the rest of his family members are. So you had a much nicer nocturnal experience than me. I think I dreamed about our famous John once, but it was long ago and, unfortunately, the dream escapes me now.
