I have almost finished the preparatory work for the video - I thought you ought to know that too. This is my latest poster for it, made because the geezer who calls himself a graphic artist around here took the last one down and replaced it with something even more boring. I've told him I will do something unspeakable to his private parts if he removes this one.
It's my birthday today - I thought you ought to know that too (somehow, Rachel already does). I used to keep quiet about my birthdays, but I realised that if you go round telling everyone, you get free drinks at the pub, and people put off being horrid to you until the day after. How childish of me, at my age.
Ahh a true 'Grinch', many happy returns young man.
ReplyDeleteSo now that you have reached the age of maturity. All I can say is
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY young Sir !
You are too young to be entering your second childhood.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you. And as to Rachel knowing about it - she has the knack of being all seeing and all knowing.
A valuable asset.
Tom may not agee with you about me Weave. Be warned. Even if it is his birthday.
DeleteHappy birthday, Tom!
ReplyDeleteHey Tom:Happy happy birthday! Have a birthday week while you're at it - milk it for all it's worth - I do.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm a lot wiser now.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a happy birthday - make sure it's a merry one!
ReplyDeleteMany Happy Returns of the Day Tom. Hope that you are having a very special day. Have fun. XXXX XXXX
ReplyDeleteDouble kisses on your birthday !!
I like "or just after"; so pragmatic. Happy birthday! We like you a lot.
ReplyDeleteRock breaks scissors
ReplyDeleteScissors cut paper
Paper covers rock
Card covers birthday
Or something like that. Happy birthday, Tom
Thank you all. I will make time to reply to all tomorrow, but now I must sleep again - work...
ReplyDeleteYou don't normally have early nights. You must be getting old.
DeleteHappy Birthday Tom! And as for the poster announcing the big event - I love everything about it! I love the color, I love "... unbroken years of history ...", love all of it.
ReplyDeleteYou're safe - it's when you tell everyone and you DON'T get freebies that you start to worry.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
Fantastic poster. Three hundred years of unbroken history, that is indeed high drama.
I can't buy you a drink, but I can wish you a very Happy Birthday! I didn't know that what you are doing on the pub was called "video mapping" until you started writing about it !! (I think the first one I saw was on Buckingham Palace some years ago)
ReplyDeleteI like "there is to be" in the poster and like Mise said "or just after". It sounds like 300 years has not gone by.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a very happy birthday, Tom.
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
