A small diversion for your delectation

  1. I'm familiar with this recording. There are quite a few song releases in a similar vein (Can I Play with your Poodle is another) from this era which is in some ways surprising.

    1. Look out for Bull Moose Jackson's Big Ten Inch Record of Blues on You Tube. It's from the 1940s I think and has a great brass section.

  2. Some great lyrics here, if I may " often it goes out at night, returns the break of dawn, whatever the weather's like it' always nice and warm". Yeah yeah I love my pussy. Thanks for that. Never heard it before. There's one pet I like to pet and every evening we get wet. Love it.

  3. I am trying hard not to be drowned with the news right now, and the news of the Jordanian pilot being lead into a cage and set alight is so depressing that I am asking for help from on high to control my desire to see all of ISIS killed off - all 40,000 of them.

We have no alternative than to treat them as the Nazis that they are, but I am asking for help in understanding that they amount to 39,000 idiots controlled by 1000 psychopaths, because it would be impossible to get 40,000 psychopaths together in one place without them killing each other, I think, drastically reducing their effectiveness.

I really hate the news right now - all it amounts to is the NHS being torn apart by a pack of wolves, legal and banking issues and ISIS.

Allah needs to step in, and quick - the real One, not theirs.

  4. My 95 year old father fought in a war over 70 years ago, and with so many others, that was intended to end this type of horror once and for all. My despair was in looking into his eyes today after he saw the news on TV. I have no other words Tom. Just devastated.
