Juan Carlos abdicates

This is the Elephant the king Juan Carlos shot in Botswana, just as his country was teetering on the edge of financial disaster - not that that makes any difference to the estimated 30,000 Elephants which are killed every year by ivory poachers - and this is Juan Carlos himself, looking very proud as he cradles his gun. I don't know who the stupid bitch is with him, and I don't want to know.

Just look at the poor bloody creature - it has managed to stagger up and against a tree before it finally died, and I bet its extended family were looking on when it did so.

If things carry on the way they are now, it is estimated that the African Elephant could be extinct within 20 years.

Never mind how he looked over Spain's transition from a fascist state to a democratic one - for this act alone he just has to be an utterly despicable and unfeeling cunt, and I truly hope his son is not made of the same stuff.

As you can tell, I am very, very angry.

  2. It is a damn shame the moral conscience of the entire world is so low. If you ever see him you may spit on his feet or snub him, as you please. And before you blow me away with a scathing retort, consider we people who condemn his actions are powerless against them.

    1. Why would I blow you away with a scathing retort?

I hope that if - in the unlikely event that I ever become introduced to one of these cunts - I would be true to my instincts and morals, so shag their sons whether I am gay or not, then get the pictures into "HELLO!' magazine.

I watched 'The History Boys' again last night, so I am fired up with the idea. Too old though.

    2. This happened just a couple of years ago, yet he looks so much older in the abdication pictures.

  3. I absolutely agree with you. You would think that since his brother died through a gun shot, Juan Carlos would never have wanted to touch a gun again. He must be a real dunce. How, in your right mind, can you kill an elephant?

  4. That picture made me ill. What a lowlife this "king" is.

  5. Overseeing Spain's transition from a fascist to a democratic state...my eye.

Had the 1981 putsch succeeded he would have been quite happy to be frontman for his fascist fellow officers...he only came out spouting support for democracy when it was clear that it was a failure.

I suggest that open season is declared on the Bourbons...you could use your Mills bomb...

  6. In happier elephant news, the Indian elephant Sunder who was gifted to a Cabinet Minister and held at a temple where he has been beaten for years and now has a wide open gash on his leg, has been ordered by judge to be released to a sanctuary by June 15.

That photo you posted pains me. As you say, the family were likely looking on and it breaks my heart. And yes he is a C.

  7. At least we have this picture to remind ourselves of what they looked like. And don't forget that Juan Carlos was a big-wig in the Spanish WWF.

  8. If one has to shoot a poor elephant to get joy out of life I wonder what will come next.

  9. Hello Tom:

    This is entirely despicable.

As for the abdication, let them all follow suit.

  10. Justice prevailed in 2012 when Carlos fell over and busted his hip on an elephant hunting trip in Botswana.

  11. Hear hear. And royalty over here has a lamentable weakness for blood sports, too, if you ask me.

  13. I was going to take this post down this morning, but because of all your comments I am going to leave it up, even though it is awful.

Cro reminded me that he is/was a big-wig in the WWF and Heron reminded me that he fell over on that trip, breaking bones, but not the neck ones.

Didn't his son shoot someone as well?
